Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer and has become an indispensable part of our lives. The wide variety and number of products and services and the ease with which they can be purchased from a smartphone or PC make our everyday more convenient and fulfilling. It has played a particularly large role in supporting our lives, especially during the pandemic.

Today, I’d like to share with you four great tips for saving money on Amazon, as well as two additional steps to make your savings more effective.
Tip1: Use coupon to get discount
Every day, we see a lot of coupons offered by both online and regular stores. Amazon is no exception. There are various Amazon coupons, such as $40 off or 20% off, in many categories. The product you are looking for might have a coupon, so don’t forget to check it out!

To get coupons, simply click the “Clip Coupon” button of the product you want to purchase with a coupon. You can see which coupons you have clipped in the “Your Coupons” section on the left. If you already know what you are looking for, you can type the name of the product in the search box which says “Amazon Coupons”. Then the page will show the list of the products. Choose one that has a coupon. On the product detail page, check the “Coupon” under the price, then the coupon will be applied.
If you can buy something you want at even a slightly lower price with a coupon, it feels like you’ve earned it, doesn’t it?
TIP2: amazon outlet
Amazon Outlet is definitely the place to go to save money on your shopping. They carry overstock and clearance items in a variety of categories, including books, apparel, electronics, etc. You can easily find items that are largely discounted, such as 50% off or more. Since it is an overstock store, you may not be able to find the most popular brands, but you can still find products that are highly rated by many reviewers.

tip3: amazon warehouse
At Amazon Warehouse, you can buy high-quality used or open box items at great prices.
The way Amazon Warehouse works is that a customer buys an item from Amazon, but returns it for some reason; then Amazon inspects the item thoroughly; finally resells it at a discounted price on Amazon Warehouse. The quality of the item is described as: “Like New/Open Box,” “Very Good,” “Good,” and “Acceptable,” Also, you can find the detailed condition of the item in the “condition” section.
It is possible to be able to buy even high-end products that are brand new, just opened box, at lower than the original price!

Tip4: Subscribe & Save
Are there any products, such as daily necessities, that you frequently purchase on Amazon? Do you have a subscription to it? If so, that’s great! If not, why not subscribe to it next time? Amazon offers subscription services for many products, and you can get discounts of up to 15%. You can choose how often you want Amazon to deliver your products. If it’s a product that you know you’ll keep buying, wouldn’t it be more profitable to subscribe and buy it at a lower price?

Shopping normally using the above four tips is effective enough, but here are two more tips to get even more out of it.
Extra Tip 1: Amazon Prime Membership
Being an Amazon Prime member itself lets you enjoy so many benefits.
Some of the tips mentioned above can be even more beneficial if you are a Prime member. For example, some Amazon coupons are exclusive to Prime members.

Extra Tip 2: Shopping with an Amazon Credit Card
In the same way that many large retailers issue their own credit cards and offer special privileges to customers who use those cards to make purchases, Amazon issues its own credit cards and offers special privileges.
In addition to the four tips above, if you use the Amazon credit card to make purchases, you can get cashback and save even more money.
Right now, Amazon offers 3 credit cards: Amazon Rewards Visa Card (or also called Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card), Amazon.com Store Card, and Amazon Secured Card. Each card is available in two versions, one for Prime members and one for non-Prime members. Naturally, the benefits will vary depending on whether you are a Prime member or not. The names of the cards change for Prime members: Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card (or also called Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card), Amazon Prime Store Card, and Amazon Secured Card stays the same.
To be honest with you, if you are not a Prime member, Amazon Rewards Visa Card is the only card you might want to consider. It’s the only card that gives you cashback on a purchase at Amazon.
If you are a Prime member, you get the same amount of cashback with Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card and Amazon Prime Store Card.
Amazon Secured Card is a little different from the other two cards. It is for users who need to build a good credit score. Still, you can get cashback if you are a Prime member but not as much as two other cards.
My husband and I have Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card because it maximizes the benefits of being Amazon loyal.
